Being a local and working in the wine industry, I had heard so so many great things about this place. So i took my 2 best friends out to show them a really great time. What we got was so so far from that. We were seated by an staff who barely said a work, but looked down at us as we took our seats. The staff offered us some warm bread rolls while we waited. To our shock, they appeared on the bill at the end of the meal! I have never ever paid for complimentary bread rolls anywhere. $2 a roll! We had to send cutlery back because it was dirty. We then proceeded to order, We weren't all that hungry so we ordered entree sized meals. When they arrived, we were all shocked at the sizes, i had ordered ravioli... $25 apparently gets you 4 small pieces of pasta. I inhaled them (they weren't that great). The Ceaser salad was so so fishy that it was inedible. ...read more
The first time I went here about two years ago I had a great experience. So you can imagine the next time I visited the area I wanted to go back. I was completely shocked how long we waited for our food (90 minutes) and the staff never offered any explanation why or even offer to buy us a drink to show us they appreciated our patience. The place wasn't even that full and by the time we were served all we could think about was leaving and had lost our appetite completely. The food wasn't what I remembered it to be and to say I was disappointed over the whole second go around is an understatement. I wouldn't call our waitress rude but more like uncaring or unfriendly,
My wife has overheard somebody talking about this place in the local haidressing salon. We booked with Amanda's on the edge via living a voice mail and asked for confirmation. A very friendly lady rang us back and confirmed it. After a day at the "Jazz in the Vines" we have arrived relatively hungry and finished up in a foodies paradise. The food was incredible work of magic, making our taste buds jump from joy. My wife and I could not stop eating and talking about the sofistication of this food, well above our expectations. Let me tell you, we are not shy and visited many top restaurants around the world.
The service was very friendly, not overbearing and very, very professional - just the way it should be in any good restaurant. I think this is the new top restaurant in the Hunter Valley.
I called to make a reservation to visit this gorgeouse retaurant it was wonderful to be offered a devine window seat & to hear such a friendly voice on the other end, not only is the food taste tingling causing my taste buds to sing however the service is also excellent. I would go back as many times as I can to enjoy this devine food
