Amazing Thai

Hardly amazing. The food was ok at most. I probably wouldn't bother going back as there are better Thai restaurants in the area.

A while ago I took my family who was visiting the area to this thai. When we arrived we were asked if we had a reservation, we said no and the staff said that was ok so we had a seat inside. Half way through our meal the other wait staff came anf told us we had to leave because we had lied and said we were some family we were not. Which we definitely had not. How would we even know the name of this other family? We were so embarrassed and annoyed. Terrible customer service. I will never eat there again.

This has been one of my fav takeaway choices for the past year or so. The food has been consistently delicious with enough choices on the menu to make most Thai food lovers happy! I must admit however, I have been left waiting a few times (up to 20 minutes) for the food to be ready, thats on top of the 45 minute wait time given when placing my order. If only they could get their timing right it would be perfect.

Having just visited Amazing Thai with friends last week, I must say thisis one well kept secret. They say that often the best food comes from shabby establishments, and this is one of those. Old, un-inviting, busy location and corny furniture, the first thing that greets you is a memorable smile and great courtesy from the staff. Very warm, very welcoming. The menu is nothing new in terms of dishes, but WOW, the food is something!! None better on the north side of town. Wonderful service, beautiful food and a "Must-come-again" experience. If you don't get a buzz out of this place, you may as well stay home. I rate it 'sensational'. 2 for establishment, 4.5 for food and service.

Tacky atmosphere. Food only ok. Price probably middle range for Thai. I like other Thai restaurants like the Thai place at Kelvin Grove or Green Olive a lot better for atmosphere.
