Not a bad place to start a night out in the city. Cheap drinks and cheap food, but that's about all you come here for. Hence why its a good place to start the night before moving along. The times I have been its been pretty quiet, but I have never been here past about 9pm so it might pick up later in the night.
Although the meals are cheap I was pleasantly surprised at how nice they were. We ordered the chicken parmigiana and the salt and pepper squid which were both lovely. We also ordered drinks - double scotch and a cocktail and in total food and drinks came to $47. Very reasonabey in the City. I must admit that the place is in need of a renovation with the tables and chairs looking slightly weathered
Cheap drinks, cheap food, cheap atmosphere. I decided to try their steak after all the people standing outside advertising their cheap ' value' meals, but the Angus steak was sinewy and rather fatty. They had some rather weird sweet potato 'curls' on top, and the mashed potato was very lumpy. My friends didn't complain about their fish and chips, which came with a generous portion of salad. The tables weren't wiped, and the cushions on the seats seemed to be coming apart...
Upstairs is a heaving, sweaty mass on Friday and Saturday nights after 1am, if you're claustrophobic probably not ideal.
