I went into Amber Penrith and saw some slate I liked. I was persuaded against my better judgement to put a deposit down and I was assured the deposit of $100 I put down on slate was refundable if I changed my mind. I rang two days later and was told that the staff who needed to authorise the refund was not available until the next day. I went in and was told I could not get a refund. I was told by a staff that based on my plan that I needed 12 metres, the tiler looking at the same plan said I needed 23 metres which as an old age pensioner I could not afford. I tried again unsuccessfully to get a refund and was told I could not get it. This is contrary to what I was told when I put the deposit down. Make sure you get anything in writing as otherwise you will lose your money as I did.
