Went here for breakfast and was not disappointed! I ordered a crazy shake and pancakes (bit of a mistake as the crazy shake was probably big enough for breakfast by itself!). The prices here are pretty reasonable and the menu is varied so I will probably come back for lunch one day. The only suggestion is to use higher quality ingredients in the crazy shakes, some of the chocolate tasted like homebrand (which isn't the nicest)
The whole *mega shake* craze seems to have taken over and being a real *sweet tooth* at heart when I find out there is a huge/mega shake to be had I am ready to give it a go. Amilly's at Tuggerah (Westfield) are now offering a range of 6 different mega shakes, and I will say - for just $10.00 they are well worth it. I would definitely be back and if you love sugar or chocolate, this one is for you!. The service was a bit better but hubby ordered the quiche (which was nice) with salad, but he asked for extra salad, and was quite dissapointed by the rather small serving of salad :-(
I was going to give Amilly's 4 stars, but they lost a half a star pretty quickly! I will say we have stopped there before for take away coffee, but this was the first time we stopped for breakfast. The coffee and juice was delivered quickly, but I was surprised when others who sat down after us were getting their meals before us. I will say we ordered very quick/uncomplicated meals, pancakes with maple syrup and cream and melted cheese on Turkish bread, light simple and quick *meals*. Finally hubbys cheese on toast arrived, which was nicely presented and looked good, but it was at least another 3 minutes before my pancakes arrived. why others got their order first I don't know, and I think it was poor form that our meals were served so far apart, hubby was more than half way through his toast when mine arrived. So the service/organisation was lacking. I must admit the ...read more
