The Croque Monsieur was delicious with a good amount of cheese and the Pancakes were super soft and the ricotta on top was so fresh and not too sweet. The eggs are cooked perfectly here. Definitely a great place to go if you can grab yourself a spot near the balcony and like to watch the day go by.
I visited Ampersand Cafe Bar & Bookstore on one spring Sunday afternoon, and the number of customers flocking the place was quite a lot. Even with a long aisle of dining spaces with wall couches on one side, and even more spaces at the bookstore level upstairs, this classically decorated place cant seem to tune down the crowd.
The natural light penetrated right through the outdoor seats and into the indoor area. It was so vibrant, I witnessed some guests who moved away from the couches to other tables in order to get away from the sun.
Despite being very busy, the staffs still managed to be quite attentive. The juice came in a matter of minutes and they were freshly prepared. I had the omelette dish, which appeared to be the healthiest option from the menu. With spinach and mushrooms on the inside, with rocket leaves and toast on the side, this dish as a clean but satisfying feeling and also quite filling.
