Anchorage is a great restaurant with a beautiful interior and a stunning view perfect for a lazy Saturday afternoon lunch with friends. It's a shame this place isn't in the entertainment book anymore however, the service was very good but food wise you are definitely paying a premium for the view! I quite enjoyed the calamari entree - flavoursome and very crispy. The king fish main was also very enjoyable. The waitress was very attentive and I had a nice reisling to go with my dish. Well worth a visit if you are in the area. Good for a special occassion and not too far from the city if you take the Westgate freeway.
Consistently good restaurant which we have dined at for 18 years. Food tasty, well presented and location a dream. If you have interstate or overseas visitors - this is a must. It is open on Mondays too - which is rare amongst restaurants.. Black swans usually gliding by the windows and unbelievable views of the city. Never rushed but service is timely. AND not expensive when you compare with city, Fitzroy, Hwthorn, Brighton. I would say moderate prices averaging say $45 to $50 per head. This is great value too.
