I have had a passion for photography for many years. I have always had some kind of camera in my hand. When I stepped up into the world of DSLR's my passion went into obsession. My first DLSR was a Nikon D7000 with a couple of kit lenses. This camera kit was great everything changing for me, My perspective of my surroundings are always changing, the vivid colours of the grasses, trees, sky, clouds. I find myself looking into a scenes and studying the composition, taking in the details and the colours. Living in Cairns has been very diverse with places to go and visit. There is such a contrasting in environment, from reef to rainforest to mountains, to dry outback setting.
For my obsession to grow further I knew I had to upgrade. The new Nikon D800 come on the market and change everything for me. I bought a couple of pro lenses, 24x70mm f2.8, 70x200mm f2.8, 50mm f1.4 and a few others. I then set up a home studio for portraits, this changed what I could capture for personal portraits for my customers. Looking at people would not be the same, seeing the shadows and lighting that brings out details on their faces. The different body sizes and shapes, the personalities within each and every person though a lens.
There is no reason why I can't "Capture the moment", let the experience continue. Be safe travel well.
