Registered Psychotherapist - Katoomba and UltimoI work as an adult psychotherapist and my main therapeutic approach is the Conversational Model of psychodynamic psychotherapy. This is an evidence-based model offered as a training program to clinicians at Westmead Hospital's Psychotherapy Unit where ANZAP was formed in 1987. The model continues to evolve and has demonstrated proven effectiveness in the treatment of complex trauma, which is often associated with early neglect or abuse.
I have had a long-term interest in language and emotion with respect to the human experience of self, an interest which I pursued by completing a MRes and PhD in psychotherapy process with the Department of Linguistics, Faculty of Medicine, Health and Human Sciences at Macquarie University. I also have a Bachelor of Arts degree in Sociology and Philosophy from the UNSW and a Graduate Diploma in Psychology from Sydney University.
