AMA's projects are predominately residential, including innovative alterations and additions as well as new builds of single dwellings.
House sites range in typography from open country, coastal and bushland settings to inner city terraces and suburban blocks.
We are currently involved with projects in Melbourne (Victoria), Cape Town (South Africa), Hamilton (New Zealand), New York (USA) and the Turks and Caicos Islands (Caribbean).
The practice prides itself on its unerring commitment to an energetic and collaborative approach.We strive to commit an above average allocation of time and resource to each individual project and we greatly value transparency; providing clear advice on the various costs involved with projects, including council and consultants fees.
This approach helps to establish concise and personal design briefs, culminating in custom design solutions and fantastic final outcomes.
The practice has an established database accessing a wide range of consultants, including quantity surveyors, surveyors, town planners, structural engineers and private certifiers, required by council for most projects.
Efficient Design
AMA is committed to Environmentally Sustainable Design (ESD). Rigorous site investigation combined with extensive experience enables design solutions that create comfortable living environments, while being energy efficient and water savvy.
Opportunities are always sought to recycle materials where possible, and materials are usually specified for their suitability in reducing energy consumption.
