By far the most unique restaurant experience in Brisbane. Cleverly designed seating fosters unparalleled service and ambience. Impeccably chosen wines, an inventive and outstanding menu and a wonderfully curated collection of vinyl... There is nothing not to love about this place.
This is one of the best places in Brisbane. You sit around a bar which initially i felt disappoined about but the staff behind the bar wine match every course and know everything about the regions and methods used for each wine. They are so passionate so in the end sitting around the bar was one of the best parts of the experience. The food is beautiful, great flavours, cooked well, presented beautifully with high quality ingredients. The wine list is full of beautiful boutique wines. I have been here many times and recommend that you go as a couple, or as a group of 4-6 around the end of the bar. A must as it is something different executed flawlessly.
I had a wonderful time here a few weeks ago with a friend who suggested this place. We sat at a bar and I had the confit tart which was amazing and the lamb rack with prosciutto for main. We were too full up to have dessert! What really made the experience was the staff. 2 guys (I think - well there were only 2 there) run it and they love, and really know, their wines. They opened up a dozen or so bottles (for all the patrons - not just us) of wine and matched them perfectly to our food. We had to go to the early session as we couldn't get in later, and although I usually loathe eating early, it was worth it to get in. This was such a wonderful European experience!
