Ice Cream & Frozen Yogurt
Annies Old Fashioned Ice Cream Parlour
George St (cnr Church St)
Bathurst, NSW, 2795
$3.80 for two big scoops! Don't mind it I do (note: have been disappointing on one occasion as the scoops were a little stingy... but on all of my other visits I've been very happy) Great atmosphere - very old school. Think booth seating, photos of Elvis and lots of pink. All ice cream is made onsite and you and there is a limited non-ice cream menu too (aka lunch foods).
Be transported back to a 1950s milk bar at Annie's Old Fashioned Ice-Cream Parlour. Marilyn Monroe memobrilia adorn its overwhelmingly pink interior. There is indoor booth seating or outdoor seating under the shades of large umbrellas.
A rainbow of 20 plus ice cream flavours await your choice at the counter. The ice cream is made on site, with gluten free options available. For the indecisive, go for the 'strike me lucky' which involves a sampling of 12 different flavours. I chose Sofala Gold and Cookies and Cream. Sofala Gold, named after a local town, is vanilla ice-cream with nuggets of golden honeycomb. Cookies and Cream tasted as expected and had tiny pieces of biscuit through it. Both were delicious.
Annie's is a must-stop for any visitors to Bathurst. Somehow ice cream combined with lots of pink makes one happy.
Once you have ice cream from here you will never what store brought icecream instead! Sofala Gold is the best tasting icecream ever. I brought a wafle cone and was amazed at how much icream i got. You can also get take home of the icecream in 2litre containers.
staff are very friendly!
