Found A+V Tiling (Anthony Soravia, NSW licence 266710C) through Home Improvement Pages (hipages). Anthony said it would be a 2 week job. 3 weeks later, he is not even halfway. He used only 1 tiler who was an old gentleman but slower than old mate. He gives said tiler a ladder to tile a 2nd storey balcony, pretty stingy and it wasn't safe (over 3m off the ground)! I confronted Anthony about the quality of tiling and slow progress, and he threatened to walk off the job. He also hits me with variations, even though nothing about the job had changed. After I agree to pay more money, he changes his mind and refuses to come back and finish the tiling. So dishonest and cannot be trusted. Fair Trading has a case on him and will not renew his licence (check for yourself). NSW Civil and Administrative Tribunal has already ruled against him too. Now even the NSW Sheriffs are after him for unpaid judgement debts. Turns out I'm not the first person he has tricked! Be careful ...read more
Started tiling our laundry on Thurs, ignored our calls on Friday and did not return until Monday. Left external doors off on Thurs when we agreed to pay them to trim and put back on, so we ended up having to find a builder to come over late on the Thurs night to trim and put doors back on - for our safety as they were external! They left grout all over our new deck and when asked, they said they would come back over to clean, but never turned up or called back. They possibly had too much work on to keep up with, which resulted in it inconveniencing us greatly.
