Antique & Collector's Books

All I can say is that I have never seen so many books in a second-hand bookshop in my life. It didn't take me long to have an arm full of books ready to buy and take home to Melbourne, though I could have spent much, much longer here than I did just marvelling at all of the titles that were available. In fact there were lots of books here that are quite hard to find, as well as a number of antique books. Mind you, if you are looking for under priced antique books (as I do) you won't find them here because she knows her books, and if she knows a book is rare, it will be priced as such. However, I was amazed that such a place existed down here in Southport. I'm almost tempted to drive a truck up here just to spend my life savings on books.

Good collection of books but a bit on the pricey side for second hand books. And don't expect them to buy the books back! When I returned the books I'd read, the staff hardly acknowledged me, riffled through the bag, picked one, shoved the rest back in my direction and muttered something about a $2 credit. Not a smile or a friendly word - needless to say I won't be going back there!!
