Antoine's Grill

The steak here is out of this world. Very friendly French service, good wine list. The minted peas and truffled mash is to die for.

Antoine's has got to be my favourite restaurant on Majors Bay Road. I've been 3 times and each time the service was impeccable and the food could not be faulted. They mainly serve steaks and modern australian with a "french" twist. It is a little pricey so I've only been on special occasions, but it is well worth it. Expect to pay $30-$45 for a main and sides are extra on top of that. Favourite dish to date is the 200g eye fillet with roasted eggplant on the side and bone marrow sauce.

Went to Antoine's grill last night as it has come highly recommended. Upon entering this fine dining of the inner west restaurant we were welcomed by pleasant staff. We were seated and the menu was simple. I ordered the prawn salad and oysters for entrees. My husband and I have never had fresh seafood like this. I ordered the new York steak with red wine and garlic jus. For sides we had a mix of salads, beans and mash. If you come here you must try their mash. It's so addictive. The neat was succulent and I loved the homemade jus. Unlike the steakhouses I've been too, the meat wasn't greasy or fatty at all. For desserts I highly recommend the tart. So French and a classic you will be surprised as it is well presented and delicious. My husband loved the homemade profiteroles. Such a great place can't wait to go back there.
