Ants Timber and Steel Fencing

This is the worst carpentry service myself and my friends have ever received. In fact not a carpenter and should stick to timber paling fences. The finish is appalling. Uses red gum timber filler on cypress pine. Uses a band sander in the opposite direction to the grain of the timber leaving a terrible finish. Uses different types of wood for the same gate (red gum and cypress pine), without asking you if this is okay, because they had a scrap piece of red gum, even though I asked for a cypress pine gate, then I had to buy another piece of cypress pine myself and have the timber yard cut it to size and apply it myself. They quoted for and we agreed on 8 steel wires on my deck, but when they finished there was only 4 and hadn't even asked me if this is okay. When I asked about these things got angry with me. This company built a large deck, front and side fences for our home in West Footscray. They are always on time, which is unusual for trade people. Their workmanship, quality and abilities are some of the best Ive seen. They are polite, design orientated and work well with other trades. Im not sure what the other reviewer was on about, because we are using this company on a number of other properties we have, purely based on their workmanship on our home - perhaps the customer didnt brief them properly. We would totally recommend this company!

I would not use their services again and would not recommend them. They change what you have agreed on without discussing it with you and finishes the job on your home with these changes and you get left with a product you didn't ask for in the first place. Then when you ask them about it they just say they decided to change it and if you ask them to make it how you agreed for it to be made they get angry with you, yet they expect to be paid what they asked for. Also, in my opinion the workmanship and finish in their work is below average.
