I went into the branch to verify my ID as I created an account online and received a letter saying that I must visit a branch to do so. After waiting 20mins behind one customer, I was told that I was not supposed to be there and to go back through my emails and confirm my identity online. I couldn't find it so I called their customer service line. They said that they definetely DO NOT verify that information online. So I returned to a rather up-tight teller telling me again that I must go online, I explained that customer service told me to visit the branch and she insisted that I go back home and look for the email again. I then travelled to a another branch 60km away and had my ID verified in 5mins. Crazy. Know the system!
Is this the worst bank branch in the whole of Australia? As a long term customer, I find they are incompetent and with some of the most unhelpful staff and, in particular, management I have ever encountered in "customer service."
