I just wanted to simply express my personal thanks to the Dr's and staff including nursing staff at Apollo Armadale, I am a registered carer for an immediate family member. The person I care for does not have private health insurance and it feels for at least the last year has been "lost" within the current public health care systems. I was delighted to learn that Apollo has specialists that are affiliated with outer larger hospitals in Perth, this has been a massive assistance to us. Reduced the wait time down to days - not months for surgery, as well all out patient- follow up care has been in the medical centre rather than at the hospitals outpatient's. I - we cannot thank you enough. I had personally visited the Cannington centre, but never the Armadale prior to being a registered carer.
Very disappointed with this Health Service. I have been using it since it opened in 2013 and there have been issues before but usually resolved, this time I was astounded at the Operational Managers comments on why services have changed.
Apollo no longer has "Walk in" appointments as stated on the sign on the desk from Feb 2015, it also no longer opens at 7am which was really useful, and the waiting period for appointments is far to long (my last over an hour). The center has also decided not to offer drawing for kids which if you are made to wait for more than an hour for your appointment how do you keep young children with aspergers content and not running out the door every 5 minutes. These changes wouldn't have been that bad except for the explanation I got from Nic the Operational Manager blaming it on the RACGP (government dept) which turns out to be unfounded. ...read more
Had an ultrasound book for 11.30, did everything right, even showed up early. After half an hour past our appointment, I asked when we should expect to see someone, that was when they realised there had been a "system error" and I was told I would not receive my appointment today and was told to come back in 5 days! after another half hour of waiting. Mind you, my husband had taken a day off work and we were expecting to find out the sex of our child. We were told we couldn't be seen now as it would "hold up other patients". Never going there again!
