Hi Guys Been reefing for seven years and thought i'd try ordering fish from this shop online. Prices where really good and even though i have heard that some people didn't think it was a great shop to get fish from. I went ahead and ordered anyway. My total order was just over $200. Five days later and the purple tang died. Covered in spot, The Coris wrasse was never seen apart from the day i put him in. The only other fish, a Blue chin Trigger is still alive and seems to be doing ok. So, I was wrong in ordering from this shop and i realised that they get huge shipments and probably stress the fish alot before they get sent to a customer. I would not buy from them again and i'd advice people to rather drive down there and pick the fish if it looks healthy. But then you still don't know... First time in the store and was hoping to purchase see some more unusual fish - after standing in the store for 10 mins finally was served (it was quiet there was one other unattended customer) - wasn't too keen on the staff members attitude, it felt like we were an inconvenience not a customer. A lot of tanks were way overstocked, and I mean heavily overstocked - lots of tanks had dead fish in them. Yes I do realise there will be losses in this industry however there seemed to be quite a lot more than you would expect and the water didn't look great. Prices were definitely cheaper than some of the other stores but not sure we would make the trip back.
The first time I shopped here my partner and I were seeking some advice about setting up a small fish tank, we asked the usual sort of stuff about which fish can be together etc. We found the staff member to have a bad attitude, and made it seem that we were bothering him by having questions.
Flash forward to yesterday (May 28th, 2011) and we were looking for some supplies, and figured we would give them another shot. We were met with the exact same response. Our simple questions were met with derision and overall I would rate the experience as very poor. It does appear that the staff are very knowledgeable about their products, but to me customer service is just as important a factor and I don't think I should have to walk out of a store feeling bad about myself.
