Words cannot describe how disappointed my Husband and Family were with Araluen Retreat as a wedding reception.
We felt that our wedding was inconveniencing them, the service was barely tolerable and their commitment to appts was shocking...which was difficult to manage and reschedule when my Partner and I had to fly in for the appts.
What really ruffled our feathers was the sneaky change of our wedding bill contract 2 days before the wedding!!! I pointed out that as per their terms and conditions billing changes could be made 14 days before wedding date...not 2 days.
We were forced to pay and worried if we complained that the service and food would reflect their attitude to the situation.
We personally love the building and think that it was a beautiful venue...however it certainly tarnished our experienced and left us feeling used and angry.
