Arbory Bar & Eatery
Not pretentious bar located right next to Flinders Street station. It's super convenient to get to if you're planning for drinks and they also serve food. You can order small dishes to share or a whole meal. Staff is always on hand and friendly. Great bar to hang out when the weather is warm overlooking the South bank river.
For a while I have heard rumours that they were planning on setting up a bar in the empty space between the Yarra and Flinders Street Railway Station, and it seems that they have finally got around to doing just that. Anyway, as long as I had heard the rumour I’ve been wanting to check it out, even though it had probably been a while since it first opened that I realised that it was there (I don’t spend huge amounts of time walking along the Yarra, namely because the bars along there, especially the Southbank, then to be pretty pricey). I must say that I did like the atmosphere of this bar, especially with it being outdoors, and non-smoking. The other thing is that the bar seems to be made up of shipping containers a-la section 8, though it is nowhere near as cool as that particular bar.
I have only had afterwork drinks here as it is conveniently located along the yarra river and in line with Flinders Street Station. I love the corporate yet chilled out vibe it has when all the corporates congregtate together after work. They have a great list of cocktails and beers to choose from and I would like to try this for a Sunday session.
Beautiful place at the yarra river bank. A perfect location to meet up with friends and enjoy the Melbourne city view. We were a table of four where we had a few drinks. They have a delicious choice of cocktails offered. For food, we ordered their famous fat chips and also their brioche burgers are flavoursome and perfectly sized. This is the perfect place to go to on a warm sunny day or even at night looking by the water where they have warm heaters every few meters. Would definitely come back with other friends soon!
