Had a birthday lunch on 30/4/19. Great view, Good Service, very nice Staff member. Wine and beer good. All going well till meals arrive. Burger was good, chips not good. Calamari good, salad and chips poor. Gnocchi awful with added chicken terrible. Its was too creamy and tasteless with chicken tasting as if it had been cooked much earlier and just added to sauce also with several pieces of gristle, yuk. Would not recommend this restaurant unless their food quality improves. At $29.00 a meal I'd expect something better. Generally very disappointing.
Sunday lunch looking over the Dromana coastline and Port Philip Bay all the way back to Melbourne CBD. That's our experience at Arthur's at the 300 metre summit of Arthur's Seat. The view is spectacular and the food here is reliable. You will be assured of a good meal and a good coffee. My companions and I enjoy the Pie of the Day (today's is Osso Bucco), a Warm Chicken Salad and a battered Flathead and Chips, with a mixed salad. The flathead dish is spectacularly delivered in its own cane basket, the pie is also served very nicely. Service is informal and very good. Coffee is good. It's a great place to bring visitors to Melbourne and there's plenty to do in the area both before and after lunch.
Recently had dinner at Arthurs Hotel for Valentines day. Was all pre booked weeks in advance. Called to confirm booking... telephone customer service was appalling with yeps gotchas and no dramas mate not what i expected to hear for a al a cart dinning experience.
View was really nice, however the ambiance was not what you would expect. Poorly lit, and , well, overall not nice.
