Asahi Japanese Restaurant
Asahi Japanese Restaurant is a step into a world of traditional, great tasting Japanese cuisine with a twist. Teppinyaki style cooking leaves guests in awe as bowls of rice and eggs are flung into the air and caught, and metre high flames whip out of the cooking top and disappear again. Friendly staff share jokes and laughs, creating a friendly, comfortable and very warm atmosphere. Asahi Japanese Restaurant is definitely a memorable dining experience that the whole family can enjoy.

I had Teppanyaki here for my birthday and it was a pretty fun night with the novelty of course that they aim to throw the food at you. You can appreciate how good their aim is as well as seeing them cook right in front of you ( it gives you ideas for home) Overall a wonderful night and pretty cheap as well
Conveniently located as it was easy to find.
The food was decent for a japanese, nothing out of the ordinary, but for the price, it was average which I consider good compared to most other cuisines.
However disappointed with the slow service, but I guess when it gets busy, most places are like that.
ABSOLUTELY AMAZING!! Loved this place!!! Couldn't get enough of it! My friend and I went and they ordered the set menu and I ordered just the meat and rice and so the meat was the last thing to be cooked to the chef would turn to me and joke "are you hungry? And you sure you want to eat soon, because I can make it tomorrow if that's ok?" and would joke with all the other patrons.. I thoroughly enjoyed catching egg in a bowl and my mouth, and catching the rice (unless the young man opposite).. Overall it was a great experience.. awesome chef, great service from the waitress and front end staff, wonderful food and welcoming atmosphere... highly recommend it!
Delicious BUT .... we decided to go for the kobe set menu. We were so rushed through our meal so quickly that we had no time to savour the wonderful taste of what we were eating. regretfully we had a chef who obviously wanted to be anywhere else but working that night, the other tables had great chefs that interacted with there customers and we got NOTHING. so if you eat here it will be the luck of the draw if you have a good night or just a regular one. my suggestion go here for the food, dont expect a night out it all happens too fast and dont expect entertainment. there are much better japanese restaurants in sydney. and watch out for the soup it made my partner very sick after leaving the restaurant as she is allergic to tofu and there was no notice given that cubes of it are in the bottom of the soup whichever one u choose.
