Ashfield Hotel

Close to public transport. This pub has good cheap meal options. It also has a trivia night which is lots of fun. The outdoor courtyard area is a good place to hang out, it could use a bit of an upgrade.

Not a bad place! Although I don't like the recent upgrade! They got rid of the booths :(

Ashfield Hotel is located on Liverpool Road, less than 5 minutes away from Ashfield Train Station and Ashfield Mall. The hotel was renovated a few years ago (after the last reviews were posted) - so it seemed appropriate to provide the fresh, new hotel, with a fresh, new review...Okay, so lets start with the bistro, the bistro has a nice, wide variety of foods to be eaten, steaks, fish, pasta, salads, etc . Notably, the menu has vegeterian, vegan and organic food on it all achieved without having to overcharge/ overprice their dishes. On average you can expect to pay about $15-$25 on a dinner meal. The bistro also has many daily specials, e.g. Tuesdays is $10 steak day - and they don't skimp on the meat quality either...so you can grab a bargain even! Ashfield is full of cheap eats that are authentically Asian. This pub brings the eating experience down. It's trying to be something it's not. There's nothing worse than compulsive gamblers crossing the dinning section to get more cash from the atm then stumble back to the pokies room.

Great food for heaps cheap! =)
