Parts ordered never arrived. Refused a full refund

We bought a 2nd-hand road-bike for my step-daughter last Christmas, and took it into Ashgrove cycles early this year to have it adjusted to her. They were extremely helpful and went to great lengths to adjust a women's bike to a 12 year old's frame. Service was over-and-beyond, and then they only charged us for a minor adjustment plus parts. I've been in several times since and they are always helpful and friendly. In fact recently I popped in to see if I could borrow an allen key to fix a part of my massage table - a real emergency as I had a client due in a few minutes time - and the guy at the desk didn't just lend me the tool, he actually looked at my table part and fixed it for me on the spot. I doubt he would have recognised me as a customer as he wasn't there the one time we actually bought stuff / had the bike adjusted. He was just happy to help. What great customer service!

A terrible experience. I asked how much a new tire would cost, they said how much have you got? Tried to make me pay $80 for 1! Will never return, overpriced.
