I live above this practice & have been a client for over 10 years due to convenient location. It has gone downhill a big time for general patients since they’ve shifted the focus on veins/cosmetic surgeries which are obviously more profitable. My husband & I have decided to go elsewhere due to mediocre doctors, ridiculous long wait & total disrespect of clients’ time. Our referral letter for a specialist has expired & we need a new one which took only 5 minutes. Anyhow the receptionist booked 2 time slots for us as we came as a couple & we arrived on time. As usual, my first question for the receptionist was how many patients are there in front of us. Dr George was with one at the time & there’s only one vein patient in front of us who went to see Dr Marufa first. Upsetting to wait over an hour again when you make an appointment but they then take walk ins ahead of you. Not a way to run a practice. A shame because the doctors are good at what they do but always running late even first thing in the morning. Have decided to go elsewhere after 15 years.
I started going to Ashton Medical Practice because I moved halfway across Sydney and needed to find a GP with decent reviews that bulk billed. I must admit that the doctor is better than your average neighbourhood doctors but the wait times are beyond ridiculous. I don't understand how the surgery is run. If you've taken the care to make an appointment you should not be made to wait an hour and a half. It is not worth the time you waste and I have experienced such a wait on more than two occasions. I would have been better off driving across town to my family doctor and that is exactly what I'll be doing in the future.
Dr George is a great doctor.
How ever reception staff are rude and uncaring. Traveled 30km to doctor on direction of reception staff to be turned away because Dr George was 'fully booked' and didn't even have 5 min. Refused to even call doctor to ask advice, hung up on when called back to complain. Worst Service EVER!
