Astoria Floors

We have had new bamboo flooring installed by Astoria and are delighted with the result. The entire process was very professional from dealing with the ladies in the showroom to the expert advice from Andre to the very experienced installers. Lucas and Peter did a great job. We are thrilled with the end result.

We installed new bamboo flooring about 7 months ago with Astoria. The quality of the flooring is great. Today it still looks as good as the day it was installed, there are no marks, scratches, gaps, movement, cracks or anything of the sort. The installer did a great job of fitting the boards in to all the strange spaces - such as under the stove, inside cupboards, etc. No visible gaps anywhere.

I removed my skirting boards myself beforehand, but they were happy to fit the boards under the door architraves (by cutting out the base and slotting the boards under) as well as making sure there's clearance under my doors (by cutting a few mm off the bottom off a couple of doors) all for free just to make sure everything was perfect.

I recently used Astoria Floors to instal my new bamboo flooring and am thrilled with the result and the excellent service from Andre and his team. I met Andre in his showroom, I found him extremely helpful as at that stage I was undecided between hardwood and bamboo. Andre allowed me to take home sample pieces of bamboo and later came to my home (on time) measured the area and helped me to decide on a colour. The installer, John, was brilliant. He was meticulous in his work and even cleaned the are after he had finished. I am thrilled with the product, the price was excellent and the service beyond compare. Definitely worth a visit to their showroom for advice and purchase.

They sanded my floorboards and tinted the finish to make the new and old boards match but they applied the roller in different directions and with different pressure to leave a disaster. They agreed it was a very bad job with numerous 'lap marks' and agreed to do it again. They did it again but didn't sand back and remove the first disaster, but buffed the floor and added more colour which meant the colour on my boards was nothing like the colour I agreed to initially. To add to the disaster they left coloured tint on my cupboards (handle height) and laminated kitchen kickboards and didn't fix the first disaster. Their duty of care, qualified staff and service was disgraceful.
