I am currently 28 weeks pregnant and was advised by my GP to go to a hospital to get blood tests done because I may have been in contact with someone that has the chicken pox which can be detrimental to my health and my unborn baby's health. I called the closest, Auburn Hospital to ask if I could get a blood test done tonight, and before I could finish explaining my situation (I had only said "Hi, I'm 28 weeks pregnant and may have been exposed to the chickenpox, is it possible-?), the staff hurriedly said "I'll put you through" and transferred me to a hotline called Direct Connect. The staff at the hotline asked why the hospital had transferred me and said to call the hospital. So I did (again) and the same staff sighed when I said "Hi, I'm 28 weeks pregnant and-".
