I have never seen such a huge selection of prawns and seafood! The fresh seafood has always been quite fresh and at a reasonable price. It's not the freshest in Brisbane but good. The shop also has a huge selection of frozen meals and goods. I love to buy the beer battered chips, perfection every time. They have a surprising selection of sauces and Japanese supplies for sushi etc. Shop sits behind the shell on the corner of blunder and Inala ave. You can't get there from every direction but plenty of u turn spots.
I can't speak for the fresh seafood as I didn't try it, but the frozen selections (which make up half the items) are revolting.
I was really excited by the range so I spent $120+ (a lot of money for me) for a party, but NOTHING was edible. The soft-shell crab was chemical-tasting and just altogether foul. The pre-battered scallops could easily have been mistaken for synthetic foam, and I very much doubt that they were even real.
Had to throw the whole lot out. I have no idea how any of it can be considered fit for human consumption. Christ, even the crows didn't eat it.
I'm very sorry for the bad review. I have never given a bad review of anything before in my life, but I am so annoyed that I had to.
