I'm afraid Brett M's review is right on the money. Aussiemove makes all the right claims in its marketing material and when they're trying to get your business but that's where it ends. They do not stand by their work - I was there when my second container was opened and was shocked by the way fragile items had been piled in. Needless to say, there was a number of damaged items and some broken beyond repair. The manager was totally dismissive and basically said "bad luck". Use a reputable company that stands by its claims. Aussiemove is not such a company. Avoid!
Paid $2000 to ship 7 boxes a mattress and two prints to peru door to door. Once in Peru another company tried to get $1500 USD off me. We refused. Aussimove also told me I needed an original BOL which did not exist, then we had to deal with the NVOCC Vanguard who wanted $400 but still would not release the goods. Tried to get the goods returned. All this time Aussimove stuffed around with language problems, going on holidays and finally after I am back in Australia again I am told I need to pay $5000USD to get my goods returned to me and it was my fault. The goods were also sent from Aussimove as commercial not household items hence why Peru tried the $1500USD scam on us in the first place. Now my goods are gone. Aussimove wont let me claim insurance as the goods are "not lost" and despite their promise of full advice etc for international door to door, it was apparently my problem to be aware of this stuff. its a shame people turn to these public forums and air their Laundry, people should really get their facts correct before accusing Aussimove of wrong doing. What peopl cant see is what our staff have been trying to do to assit you & the many emails of a profeesional nature.
almost 60 emails. you advertise you take care of everything and advise. you did not advising, sent the freight with the wrong class, caused many delays at $250 a day storage (which I was told months later) and tried to make me responsible. What part of PERU SPANISH AUSTRALIA ENGLISH did you not understand Aussimove. You did not help. You made mistakes. It took you months before you even decided to contact Vanguard Australia (NVOCC) when you should have contacted them first. You tried to blame me for the BOL yet Im a registerd nurse not a freight specialist. How am I going to print a document anyone can print, present myself to the port, locate the office and have a discussion with people who demand a physical real copy of a BOL when I speak english ? You knew I was moving to Peru. You quoted it, you had plenty of time.. in fact I even delayed the pickup for a week. By far the worst ran company I have ever come across, I will never ever recommend this to anyone. We did not receive the service we were quoted and paid for. Once we handed over the money they dropped us like a bad habit and never heard from them... Complete lack of communication with there customers who are in transit, very disappointed we fell for their smooth sales act. Now trying to get them on the phone or even to respond to an email is mission impossible!
Of all the moves we've done (and there have been a few) Aussie Moves has been by far the best we have dealt with. Their helpfulness, friendliness and professionalism as well as their care for our items, has made what was a very difficult move better. The removalsits contracted in Sydney lost 1/3 of our stuff and Aussie Moves has gone to great efforts to find our missing items. They have gone above and beyond. The Darwin team is easy to get a hold of and they make you feel like a valued customer. I have already recommend them to friends.
