Austech Solar installed our 3.3KW system in 2011. It has been functioning well until today. The inverter displayed "System Error" and "Bit Failure".
I phoned them on their landline and mobile but both were deactivated. I emailed them and the Auto Reply said it would contact me within 24 hours.
I am going to drive by their canning vale shop to check it up tomorrow.
Austech Solar installed our system in 2009 and it has worked very well up until about a month ago and is in need of repairs. All my attempts to contact the company have failed and the one number I was able to leave a voice message was not returned. I see they're no longer in Applecross, but are advertising the same number on their website. Not sure if they are still in business.
They are supposedly in Canning Vale now, but I see their website has been suspended. I had a system installed which has never operated correctly. Calls and emails have never been responded to. I think they may have gone to the wall...?
We too obtained several quotes before signing up with this company however our story does not have a happy ending.
We signed on because we received excellent sales service but that was where the good service ended.
The person that served us then resigned and we spent months phoning and chasing the company to find out when our system was going to be installed, only to have the system installed and not work. Austech then told us we were sold the incorrect product and asked us to pay more money to fix it! We had to get the ACCC involved because this company would not return calls or make any attempt to fix anything.
Sadly this was our first consumer nightmare ever! Very frustrating!
My system has never worked properly either, but this firm won't respond to anything I ask - and I've only asked for them to come out and check its installation! I see their website has been suspended. I wonder if they've closed down?
After obtaining several quotes from other companies I was becoming quite frustrated. I felt as though all they were interested in doing was locking the sale in. I was (finally!) pleasantly surprised when I contacted Austech Solar.
The salesman Mark was by far the most genuine and knowledgeable person I have had the pleasure of dealing with in the industry!
