We received a slip in our mailbox for a parcel pick-up, dated for the next day (Saturday 05/12/2020). Drove to the designated PO (Cleveland Qld) mid Saturday morning and joined the expected queue.
25 minutes later I get served.
Staff member goes away and returns a few minutes later to tell me the wrong date had been written on my card and it wouldn't be available until Monday. No apology, no empathy. The problem is so obviously mine!
Rubbish service, from what has become a joke of a "service provider"!
Received a slip in my mailbox for a parcel. I went into the office to enquire about it and why the postman did not knock on my door. Have a door, a bell and an intercom mere footsteps away from my mailbox. Parcel was not there and the staff was rude and tried to make me out to be an idiot. Not impressed. Thought a service somewhere would be a bit more up to scratch. Obviously they are not managed. Suggest the pull their head in because they obviously struggle at a simple thing such as common curtsy.
I had to lodge my passport application today. Staff informed me my photo taken was not correct. I told them I had it done at other branch of Australia Post. In order to get the passport application underway, they took another picture on the spot, free of charge. My application with new photo was done and lodged in under 10mins. There was a large line up of clients, but staff worked through their clients in a quick and efficient manor. I am seriously considering canceling my PO BOX at other branch and opening one at Cleveland.
I am fed up with the queues in the Cleveland Post Office. Please dont get me wrong, the staff there are (mostly) lovely and helpful. There just arent enough of them. Ever.
A couple of years ago I was so disgusted after waiting half an hour in the queue, that I even wrote a letter to complain. Of course I got the stock standard response that thanked me for raising my concerns, but nothing changed.
What annoys me is how they are constantly adding to the range of services and non-post office related goods they offer for sale but they never increase the staff to go with it. And so it just gets busier, and the queue gets longer
