Children's Ballet Company (Children dancing for Children)Australia the Young Dancers' Company is a childrens' ballet company based at the Shayne McCormick Ballet Centre, Ipswich Queensland. The company was founded in 2000 under Artistic Director Shayne White, and is open through audition to dance students aged between 8 and 18 years of age. Company productions include,Le Papillon, Shades, Valse Excentrique, Peter Pan, The Emperor and the Nightingale, The Planets, The King and I and The Water (Wise Ballet for Children). In 2004 the Company won an Australia Day Award for community service. Auditions are advertised in the local papers and online when a work is being created and times for rehearsals will be issued then.
