After watching an APIA advert on TV, I moved my car insurance to this company. Sadly, at the beginning of 2014, I put a small dent in the rear of my car, and so lodged a claim with APIA. I was told to the car for an assessment to particular repair workshop, with which the Agency had some affiliation. I was not given any option of the choice of another repairer. I had to wait 15 days, before my car could be examined by this workshop assessor, as all repairs for this insurance agency, were initially dealt with by this one repairer, thus the long queue and wait. I was then advised that they could not fix this dent there, as they only did repairs that took 3 or so days. My vehicle was then taken by them to another repairer. So the process had to commence all over again. I contacted this repairer to check how long it would take for the repairs to be completed, having already waited 15 days just to get the damage assessed.
