Great experience here with the kids. Worth the trip from Sydney - however a local has informed me that it has been the same show & setup for the last 6 years...
We went on a scorching 38 degree day. Made it tough but the show went on.
Really interactive place for the kids, feeding the alligators and the dress up dinosaur show was great.
Easy access with a pram.
Toilets easy to find too.
A little bit of walking is required but there is plenty of places to rest if need be.
Very different experience to Sydney zoos or aquariums etc
For a reptile park, there's really not many reptiles. It's quite small and the reptile park in Sydney is much bigger. Still, it ain't bad and has various animals (not reptiles) to see. Elvis was a killer and the reptile show was great with the guy being a cracker! Theres some animals to see like the Tazzy devils, tortises, but focuses more on animals than reptiles. Still, not a bad day out for the kids.
This is a lovely zoo up near Gosford. They have a lot of lectures talking about the animals and you get the opportunity to get really close to the animals and take wonderful photos. It's a great place for both kids and adults. I highly recommend taking a drive out there to see the gigantic tortoises and the adorable koalas.
Had the pleasure of visiting this park for the first time (while meeting up with a friend I hadn't seen in 30 years). I had always wanted to go and I am so glad I did! The place is amazing and takes a good few hours to walk around. Believe me there is PLENTY to see here and with all the different wildlife shows and talks there is something for everyone! The snakes and spiders and reptiles have their own displays and they are dressed up beautifully - an old looking spider covered outside toilet in the spider exhibit, mummy's in with the snakes, it was more than just spiders or snakes in glass display cabinets. Was interesting to see the alligators and crocodile (Elvis) being fed, I got to hold a baby Tasmanian Devil, there is plenty of shade, a nature walk and so much more. I think they could do with more seating, as they encourage you to bring a picnic, but you fast run out of tables. If you really want they have BBQ facilities too and the kids playground - why didn't ...read more
