Advise to all do not use this company without a written quote.
Rang and spoke to woman in office, explained a 300ltr gas tank in a 30ft bus needed to have test (transfering registration from another state required tank test).
Being totaly aware of tank needing to be removed tested and replaced was a little surprised that the quote was around the $500 area. However on arival at premises at booked time 2 days later was immediatley told the price was around $700. Fair enough thats standad price.
However on collection of vehicle and being presented with a bill around $1000, felt that we would choose to go elsewhere for any future vehicle needs. Very poor communication from this company..
Car boiling when towing caravan. Auto Edge repaired blown head gasket and replaced fan clutch for $7100.00. Not cheap but they persisted and partially solved the overheating problem.
Auto Edge lend you a car for $20 per day. An excellent service. They also give you a free inspection on a car you are about to purchase. Another excellent service.
Booked my 4 cylinder car in for a standard service and they charged 1 1/2 hours of labor plus parts which was fine and they were instructed not to do any other work without first contacting me for my approval. On picking the car up I was given the bill and they told me they took the liberty of changing the spark plugs, ( did not ring me) charged me for the spark plugs and then charged 1 hrs labor to replace 4 sparkplugs!!!!! took 1/4 hr off the labor costs of the spark plugs as I complained loudly as this was an excessive charge.
I still believe their labor costs of over $60 to replace 4 spark plugs is disgusting. I would not recommend this car servicing company to anyone.

Changing the spark plugs is something that we do as part of our standard service and so do not call clients to ask permission.
We take into account how many kms the vehicle has done, and then check the manufacturers recommendations on component replacement. Your spark plugs were tested, inspected and changed to prevent you experiencing a breakdown or malfunction.
Our invoice breaks the overall labour charge down, as for some cars the spark plug replacement is different and takes longer. But the $60+ you quote as the charge for changing your plugs was included in the overall cost of the service - you were not charged any extra.
However, of course would like to offer you our apologies for any misunderstanding and any inconvenience caused.
