Avalon Caravan Park & Cafe Restaurant

Really disappointing!!! Quoted a price over the phone upon arriving we were charged double the amount...no running water in the "family" cabin, or bed side tables, no where to store luggage, not even a bedside lamp...the cheapest cabins have both running water, shower, toilet, bedside table, cupboards, and a bedside lamp. The camp kitchen, is just an open shed with just a vine for protection, absolutely freezing!! The kitchen sink is basically the size of a hand basin,for a whole park, and no hot water...we experienced continuous power trips due to having the heater on, which is required at that time of the year down there!! If your not fond of rats or mice don't forget to bring your cat!!! Very disgusted! I highly recommend to keep driving passed!!! To submit this review I have to give it a rating and half a star is the lowest it will let me do.

This small but beautifully kept little caravan park is a hidden jewel. The manager is a welcoming, warm hearted lady and her park reflects this. The facilities are spotless and the camp kitchen is fully equipped (more than most we have been to).

There is a small cafe right alongside the park and although we did not use it were told it was a good place for food. Fees are reasonable.
