Bought a Jayco penguin recently. I was concerned with the toe ball weight of the van. Compliance plate stated unladen ball weight of 178kg so I decided it was to heavy for my car but the salesman insisted a caravan of this ball weight would be around 120kg and he went and got a some toe ball scales and low and behold it come in at 120kg. When I paid for the caravan and took it home I realised that the had filled the water tank up at the back of the van which took off weight from the toe ball weight. After emptying the tank I put my toe ball weight scales on there and low and behold it weight 180kg so my car is unable to toe this caravan safely and legally. Back to the old days like buying a dodgy car where the used car salesman done every trick in the book to sell a car. Only difference this is a caravan mob doing the same thing. Also I have tried numerous times to get the manuals for the van which when I first inspected were there but on delivery they were not and ...read more

Bought two caravans from this company in past 5 years, great service and easy to contact when collecting our latest van - Mark who did the handover was excellent. Apparently there are new staff in the service team and the changes were obvious to us.
Refreshing experience!

Don't recommend this company. Salesman stated the van was checked out before selling only to find the fridge didn't work, the water pump doesn't work. Then found they hadn't placed the lever that extends the canopy in the van and on picking up the van, keys couldn't be found. Needed to make several trips back to Penrith for them to get it right. Finally they didn't transfer registration. Apparently their company doesn't do this even though it showed clearly on the paperwork they were to transfer the registration and the salesman again stated they would transfer rego. Good at selling you vans, for us, they continually stuff up needing the customer to fix the problems.

Nothing much has changed then. We handed over the payment for our new van and they said they would bring the keys and a welcome back out while we hitched on the van. No keys. We had to wait almost 3 weeks.

On Saturday 24th January 2015 I signed the paperwork to trade our Cub Camper for a 2011 Avan Sportsliner with an additional payment of $7000-00. This is the 3rd Avan we have purchased over a period of about 20 years. As some repairs had to be done I was told to pick up the Avan on Monday 2nd February. On that day I handed over the Cub Camper with the extra money and drove home towing the Avan. That same afternoon I went to the Penrith office of Service NSW to transfer the registration in my name. I was then told that the Avan wasn't registered and to re-register it I would need a blue slip. I drove back to the dealer where I was told it was just an oversight and that the Avan would be registered by the next day if I returned it that same afternoon. As my wife and I had planned a holiday trip leaving that week on Thursday I returned the Avan immediately. They promised they would return the registered Avan to my home address before noon the next ...read more
