I bought a hybrid bike from there a while ago; the little, 'angry meat ant' owner - matt has terrible customer service skills, is rude and needs to get over himself. Perhaps less small man syndrome, more focus on their products and service would make the place more palatable... Spend your money somewhere else!
Bought a brand $3000 road bike which only lasted 10 months, due to a partt failure the caused a mjor damage and left the bike pretty much irreparable. Not surprysingl, after 10 months of horrible service, the warranty claimed was denied. Worth noting that the bike was regularly serviced and extremelly well loked after, sontherebwas no reason to denying the warranty.
As i read in another review, "the customer is always right" not at this store.
The quality of the product is proven throught the custommer support and quality assurance. Avanti and Avantyplus have proven to be very good when it comes to sell you something, and taking your money, but not when it comes to helping the customers, or baking up their products.
Do yourself a favour and DO NOT PURCHASE OR USE THE SERVICES OF THIS STORE.
Shopped all over town before I made a decision on my first road bike in many years. These guys gave me solid advice and had very decent deals. I also liked their bikes, so eventually bought an Avanti Giro 3 from them. The after sales service was excellent, the bike-fitting was superb (in stark contrast to Bikes on Albert in the city where my wife bought her bike - they offered her a fitting for about $150 extra if she wanted to come back another day). A week later when I went back to see if I could upgrade the pedals they did so at no extra charge and no fuss. I was prepared to pay, but I think their service was spot on. If I had to complain I'd say they could have been more generous with accessories I had to buy on the day, (pants and a helmet, no discounts offered) but I guess the bike was already at a reduced price. Overall, highly recommended.
