Additionally to some traditional menus, fun & exciting Teppanyaki has been newly added to entertain you and your guests. Not only limited to our popular full course menu, AYA TEPPANYAKI is has friendly menus to simply try TEPPANYAKI or for small eaters.
Open 7 days THANK YOU for visiting us and welcome to AYA TEPPANYAKI! The beloved AYA Japanese Restaurant has renewed with this new team of TEPPANYAKI cuisine. All the sauces are homemade and to be mixed and prepared to your likings on the sizzling TEPPAN (iron plate : the closing blaket) in front of you. Some ingredients are prepared in traditional style with additional flavour prior to the cooking. You can enjoy the same ingredients in different flavours every time you visit AYA TEPPANYAKI.
The team members were handpicked by a Japanese boss, to form homely IRASSHAIMSE (welcoming) atmosphere to provide a nostalgic dining experience for the guests. Some worked in Japan, lived in Japan, married to Japanese, engaged in Japanese culinary industry for a couple of decades, and all of the staff members love to welcome you with our unique AYA style of TEPPANYAKI.
We have some traditional food you may enjoy prepared in the separate kitchen including SUSHI, SASHIMI, TEMPURA, GYU TATAKI, and NASU DENGAKUâ?¦. You can enjoy nice sampling of BENTO boxes and DONBURI dishes, as well as our seasonal specials during lunch open 7 days.
Dinner is served 7 days both TEPPANYAKI and non-TEPPANYAKI menus. Fully licensed WINE only B.Y.O with a corkage-bottle ...read more

Came back here to celebrate a birthday. We had an enjoyable time here with a large group of 9 people. It was a surprise birthday and we dropped off the cake 2 days before and they were nice enough to hold it for us for the long. We had one vegetarian and they catered for them really nicely. All of the food was amazing and the service was really good, the only disappointment is that our teppanyaki chef was not as entertaining as the other tables, but we still had a good time. The best dish was the wagyu beef by far.
Went here 2 weeks ago on a groupon. Great value for money, chef and wait staff really friendly. Chef was happy to answer any questions we had. (Even though he's probably heard them a million times before!) The food was fantastic. Only problem is I wanted some of what the other people were having as we upgraded to have lobster tails so I missed out on the prawns. Next time we go I think we'll get the standard set menu and the one that includes the lobster so we get to taste all that is on offer.
We were here some months ago for a family event and had booked a table for 10. Ive always enjoyed Teppanyaki experience, but have always said it comes down to the entertainer/cook that you end up with to make the experience enjoyable and memorable. Our fellow was alright, not very talkative however compensated that with a number of great moves he pulled with the cooking, shakers and tossing techniques. All in all, we found the food great, nothing out of the ordinary and the evening enjoyable. I would probably return, although after been to quite a number of teppanyaki houses in Melbourne I do have a few favorites that I would rather return to initially. In saying that, happy to suggest to others that this place has a great atmosphere, service good and layout no issue to entertain large or small groups.
