Loved our flight that gave us a 30 Min view of Uluru and Kata Tjuta. Service was great and if you book in advance online you could save some money. We booked from our hotel Sails in the desert and the $ 285 was absolutle worth every cent. However I found the helicopters annoying when you are hiking around Uluru so its a ctach 22 I guess.
Recently enjoyed the extended (36 minute) sunrise flight over Uluru and Kata Tjuta with Ayres Rock Helicopters and our fabulous pilot Julio. Cannot recommend seeing these amazing formations from the air, highly enough.
Julio picked us up at the resort, took us to the airfield, ran through the pre-flight checks and showed us a great time whilst with us, before dropping us back at the resort. Definitely a Must Do when in the Red Centre! Brilliant time had by all!
We spent four days up at Longitude 131 recently and had a great time. The highlight of the trip was a helicopter tour of Uluru and Kata Tjuta (the Olgas). Corey took us up and we had a fantastic 30 minutes around the two landmarks. His commentary was interesting not textbook. I would recommend this as a must for anyone visiting the Red Centre.
