Im a local resident and found Azure Medical, at Peppermint Grove to have an attractive interior design and colour scheme, but to be quite indifferent and impersonal. In particular the Pathology Surgery leaves a great deal to be desired. I had to wait an hour today to see the nurse, who seemed late into work and flustered, because she was a relief nurse and not familiar with surgery lay out and medicines. I was fasting for diabetic blood glucose and other blood tests and was keen to get the process of dealt with quickly. So, when I did get to see the nurse, she said she couldnt find medical products and I was lucky to see her for fasting bloods, as I hadnt made an appointment. I exclaimed that I had earlier that morning been referred by Cottesloe medical practice and on arrival the receptionist hadnt asked to see my referral papers on arrival at reception. Thanks very much for the feedback - I'm very sorry you did not have a good experience. For a blood test, it wouldn't have been our Azure Medical nurse that saw you, but the phlebotomist (blood specimen collector) from Clinipath. We normally refer patients for blood tests straight to the pathology area, they don't need to be checked in at our front desk unless they are also having a doctors appointment. Nevertheless it shouldn't have happened and we will try to ensure it doesn't happen again. Thanks again. Dr Richard Newton.
