Had take away pizzas, and they were ok-ish!
Has nothing to do with "woodfired" they are baked in a electrical conveyer belt.
Thats because it used to be called Azzurro woodfired pizza- The owner has recently changed the name and moved away from woodfired pizza. The new name Azzurro Pizza, Pasta and Grill. better Pizza now then when it was woodfired. Like any pizza it is best when eaten fresh not takeway. I'm a regular and will aways eat in rather then take home.
Tucked away at the end of the 64 tram route, you can enjoy the newly renovated outdoor deck on a balmy summer night, reserve a table indoors or just order a take away pizza.
The indoor restaurant is quite small but the staff are very friendly. When busy, service can be on the slow side but meals are substantial, tasty and very affordable. We had change of $100 after dinner for four with drinks. Some favourites include the garlic prawns, salmon steak, seafood fettucini and smoked salmon pizza.
When ordering pizza for pick up, we reccommend collecting promptly as they are best eaten hot and fresh.
