The classy little bakehouse sits prominently on Melbourne's ever trendy Brunswick St, and serves a hungry horde of salivating customers breakfast and lunch seven days a week (as well as bread to take home).
If you get there early enough you'll be served warm bread (from the oven not the microwave) and the freshly baked assortment of pies are always a hit with the lunch crowd. Most famous for it's mouth watering selection of pastries (you've got to try the lemon) 'Babka' is the perfect place to stop by for a sweet treat and cup of coffee.

Delicious baked goods; croissants, lemon tart, chocolate mud cake are my favourites, oh and the pies. The coffee is great too. Gets busy and a bit crowded during peak times. Service can be a bit a brisk and sometimes lacks warmth but the joy from the food makes up for it!
This tiny little bakery looks unassuming on the outside but when entering - the place is packed to the brim filled with lots of families and customers devouring their cakes and bread. We had the tarte tatin and it was absolutely devine. The apple was soft and slow cooked covered in a smooth rich caramel coating that would make you wanna cry. I highly recommend a visit.
