My local and and my favourite.
This place moving to castlecrag was an absolute winner. It refreshed the tired old village and finally offered a casual dining and coffee experience that this suburb has been crying out for since captain cook landed in Sydney back in 1770.
The thought and imagination that has gone into this menu - both in presentation as well as unique flavour combinations has you reading a list of items you are going to try as soon as humanly possible rather than attempting to choose which item is most suitable.
It caters for everyone with little ppl food to big greasy double beef double cheese burgers and also the other end of the scale with extreme health foods.
Coffee is of a fine quality - as it should be seeing as this is its specialty. The standard and effort put into their service and coffee alone will have you coming back for more.
Found this place as I had to call into another shop in the Castlecrag Quadrangle. The front is on Edinburgh Rd,so all seating on that side faces into glorious northern sunshine. There's a back exit too, into the Quadrangle. The staff are good and the coffee was of a good strength, thank you barista! My lunch choice was totally gourmet yummy burger, oh so filling and worth every penny. Yum. Friendly service and oh those pecan pancakes my daughter kindly allowed me to taste, can't wait to return and eat my own pancake stack.
This was the all round perfect cafe experience. The food was spectacularly presented and tasted like a dream. It was also, at least to my mind, incredibly healthy.
The coffee was brilliant to boot. I haven't had a coffee that good before. It was beautifully made (perfectly extracted and the ideal temperature), it was pretty and it was a tasty roast.
The decor is very modern. Think Scandinavian with a good dash of industrial.
The staff were the coolest looking and nicest people. I felt like I was a hipster and part of the cool crowd being served (even though I'm not).
It is located in a nice little shopping area. Plenty of parking.
Do yourself a favour and come here to try. Or even better, move to Castlecrag and make it your local. I could use coffee like that on at least a daily basis and would probably be about 10 times healthier if I exclusively breakfasted here.
