This was an excellent bakery, but changed hands recently. The large sponge cakes in the refrigerated area are now no longer fresh. I'm assured each time that they've been made "today", but that's clearly not accurate.
I purchased a caramel topped sponge today, which happened to be a Monday, so given that they are closed on Sunday, I felt confident would be OK. Cake was stale and the creme component was hard. It was at least a couple of days old and I'm throwing it out.
I was a great fan of this business, but no longer! The bread rolls are OK, but there cakes are well past their use by date.
