My most disappointing experience in Sydney. Over-priced, over rated. I found the service utilitarian and unfriendly. Your order took a long time to come out even though the café was not that busy. The coffees are expensive and you don’t get much for your money. The toilets are filthy.
Baker's Oven Coffee Lounge is one of the classic coffee shops that provide the charm to The Rocks. It occupies an old house turned into a cafe with narrow area inside (only tables of twos), but justified with a more spacious rear courtyard with covered alfresco setting.
The food on offer is pretty much Australian, ranging from pies, salad, and pasta. I ordered a beef pie with cut chips and salad. For a price of $19 it wasn't exactly the cheapest and the food quality was just standard but I guess you are essentially contributing to their high rent at this place. The serving size was quite alright though so at least they don't keep you hanging. We also ordered some of their desserts offering available and those too were quite average in taste.
All of the staffs are friendly and communicative and made our time a little bit more enjoyable.
