Baking since 1853Baking for over 150 years, Balfours is a well loved favourite for it's traditional savoury and cake recipes.
Balfours' origins date back to 1853 when Margaret Balfour and husband John Calder began baking and selling biscuits, pastries and cakes in South Australia. Today Balfours' traditional recipe pies, pasties and sausage rolls, custard tarts, donuts, frog cakes, Kitchener buns, vanilla slices and many other delicious treats, are sold throughout convenience stores, sporting venues, schools and supermarkets.
Owned by San Remo Macaroni Group since 2008, Balfours has bakery sites in Dudley Park, South Australia and Milperra, New South Wales, and both are accredited to the international quality standard ISO9002 and HACCP.
Balfours has a dedicated customer call centre and delivers to all metropolitan areas. Balfours is committed to continuous new product development, with all products made to a consistent standard from the highest quality ingredients by a team of qualified pastry chefs.

Nothing - and I mean nothing - tastes as good as a balfours chocolate donut. Soft, smothered in tasty chocolate that crunches as you bite in, and a decent size. The hardest thing about living interstate was that no-one even comes close to this and they're hard to find outside SA. A balfours meat pie comes a close second, and I really love their chicken pies too. Unfortunately prices have gone up since I were a little youngster but as a true South Aussie I'll pay what they're worth.
If I want a great treat and have the money a Balfours frog is so unique it's hard to explain - but if you're in Adelaide (the only place I've ever seen them) then it's a must.
Really if you see the word Balfours then just buy it - you'll thank me.
