Ballina High School is a comprehensive, coeducational school where all students are treated fairly and with respect. Our values comprise of *Respectful Safe Honest Learners*. The school has its own aquaculture centre, a marine discovery centre, amphibious vehicle and specialises in Marine Technology.
The school also has a driver education course complete with a driver training car, and is one of only a few centres to train students to gain their boating licience.
The school offeres a variety of sports for students to choose from and actively engages students in the teaching and learning process. Aboriginal education programs are supported through the school including the Stronger Smarter program.
The school is located in the heart of the Ballina community and has lush and serene surrounds ensuring a plesant and relaxing atmosphere for the playground.
