Karate is more than physical exercise or a method of self-defence; it is a way of life, it is something that can be enjoyed by anyone.
The hardest thing about learning Kyokushin Karate is getting to training! The word Kyokushin literally translates as “the way of the ultimate truth”. While there are many interpretations of this, basically it means the further you go down the path of Kyokushin Karate the more you begin to learn about yourself.
Kyokushin Karate is Budo (fighting) Karate and not sport karate. It is practical and readily useable in everyday life. It is a style noted for its power and effectiveness.
Kyokushin Karate improves your health including dramatically improving cardiovascular health. Your resting heart rate will come down and your ability to maintain an increased heart rate will increase. You'll breathe better, sleep better, and even feel an increase in energy and effectiveness all day long.
Far North Coast Kyokushin Karate instills positive attitudes; their programs are designed to be positive and inspirational. The staff will keep you motivated and thinking about progress and goals.
Most of the students to date have been adults in their 20's, 30's and even 40's and the north coast institute pride themselves on teaching Karate in a way that appeals to adults (but which mature children can follow).
The institute loves to teach children, but by integrating them into adult class, they are taught that karate is serious business, not something that should be taken lightly.
